    Reporting to the Head of Global Portfolio Steering you will work closely together with a diverse team developing and implementing global portfolio management reporting processes. Based in Munich, this role gives you the opportunity to engage in discussions with senior management and to maintain links to other AGCS departments as well as to Allianz Group functions. In addition, one aspect of the role is to provide guidance to junior members of the team.

    Building both on your KPI analysis and programming skills in this role you will …

  • Manage & drive forward own area of responsibility or project including ad hoc requests.
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining pricing related reporting processes (e.g. to foster understanding of exposure developments), redesigning and implementing these reporting processes by developing new Management Information reports in Foundry. Moreover, this includes defining data quality and cleaning standards as well as ensuring proper execution of APT data cleaning processes together with our extended working bench in Bucharest.
  • Develop and implement new approaches and processes for our unit, perform strategic portfolio analyses for the global AGCS insurance portfolio and provide input to the AGCS planning process as assigned.
  • Peer review work from other team members and mentor, provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Promote close collaboration and interaction with the various business areas to foster mutual understanding how business developments, UW strategy and other trends impact portfolio management KPIs. In this regard you foster best practice sharing of portfolio management approaches across all lines of businesses (LoBs).
  • Contribute with Portfolio Steering reporting to cross-functional portfolio steering discussions and exchanges for assigned products / LoBs to identify areas of action (grow, maintain, fix, shrink, etc.) for the AGCS portfolio.
  • Keep abreast of leading market practice and drive innovation.
  • You have an excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), with quantitative focus (e.g. Business Informatics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics) or qualified by experience in related discipline.
  • You have significant professional experience (7-10 years) in an international working environment, preferable spanning multiple types and lines of business. During this time, you have gained a good understanding of portfolio management and actuarial concepts as well as a robust understanding of other areas (UW, CCO, CFO, etc.) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting.
  • Data-driven and innovation minded with high analytical skills.
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills incl. Javascript, CSS, Python, VBA and SQL as well as database management skills incl. database design and technical development.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing management information reporting processes and analyses based on database solutions.
  • Proven experience in senior level communication and the ability to explain complex topics easily also to non-experts.
  • Insurance and Finance know-how as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group.
  • Multi-task profile with focus on effective use of own resources and handling of competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory. German skills are an advantage.
